On Saturday 26^th March 2011 the 1961 Novitiate Group gathered at Mt St Mary Strathfield to celebrate 50 years since their time at Minto.  The event began with meeting around 3pm, then afternoon tea followed by Mass celebrated in the Chapel of Mt St Mary Strathfield (now ACU Campus).  It was a unique event as it was the first time a Mass of the Eastern Rite was celebrated at the Strathfield Campus. A member of the Group is Archpriest Lawrence Cross who conducted the liturgy with the help of a fine, small choir and special server.  This was followed by a Dinner in the former 'Juniorate' dining room.  Assembled were 25 former novices with Br Victor Bell (novice master), Br Athanasius McGlade (former Provincial and teacher) and Mr Kevin Walsh (Juniorate teacher, particularly in Maths).  Participants came from afar: Tasmania, Victoria, Darwin, areas of NSW and Queensland.  The New Zealanders could not attend but all sent apologies and best wishes. The happy Reunion finished about 10.00pm with a group photo.
