Compassionate Communication mentors Paxe and Anna Groves will present the basic principles of 'Non-violent Communication' as developed by Marshall Rosenburg at the upcoming annual gathering of the ERN in Oamaru New Zealand.
We all have a universal need to connect with ourselves and with others. These workshops offer a way of communicating that leads us to give from the heart. We offer a guide in reframing how we express ourselves and hear others. Instead of using habitual, automatic reactions, our words become conscious responses based firmly on an awareness of what we are perceiving, feeling and wanting.
Discover a way to:
© Communicate compassionately with ourselves and with others © Develop supportive relationships at home, at work, in the community © Break patterns of thinking that can lead to anger, arguments and depression © Resolve conflicts peacefully ©To be present
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a simple, profound and learnable process that trains us to focus our attention on a different place - the powerful human needs, such as respect, understanding and safety, that are the motivation for everything we do and say.. When we focus our awareness on our own and others' needs, it facilitates deep understanding of self and others. Communicating from this place opens up possibilities for flexible and creative solutions to even the most entrenched conflicts and can be applied to type of relationship. NVC is an especially effective and accessible tool that can help build bridges in the field of Eduction between young people and adults, which supports mutual harmony.
Paxe Archer has faciliated personal growth workshops for 16 years. She trained in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in NZ and the US, and has been presenting for 4 years. Paxe also works as a marriage celebrant and a choir leader.
