Edmund Rice Community WA 2012
"A great place for young adults to live and grow!"
The Edmund Rice Community, located at Salter Point WA, is a place where Christian Brothers and young adults, male and female, live together as a community for one year.
We continue with our "usual" life e.g. work, study, sport, recreation, social life, etc., giving quality time to each other while having plenty of fun.
As a welcoming and hospitable Catholic community, we take time each day to reflect more deeply together about how life is going and how we are growing.
The community is a place for young adults who have a passion for a just and better world.
We encourage each other to use our gifts and talents to help others in need through regular community service.
The community is ideally suited to enthusiastic and committed young adults who are working and/or studying, who are seeking a supportive and nurturing place to live, particularly if it is their first time living away from home.
It is made affordable ($150 per week in 2011) through the sponsorship of the Christian Brothers.
It is not necessary for interested young adults to attend the Info Days in order to make enquiries about the community. They are very welcome to make enquiries at any time.
The Edmund Rice Community has been operating for six years and we look forward to another group of young adults joining us in community in 2012.
Information Days: Sunday October 30, 4-6pm. Wednesday November 2, 6-8pm.
