Edmund Rice Camps for Kids Western Australia (ERCKWA)
Programme Design/ General Description
Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA (ERCKWA) Inc is a non-profit community based organisation that serves the needs of kids (aged 7-16) and their families. It provides camps and other recreational and developmental activities for kids who would not otherwise have such opportunities, supporting kids who are 'at risk' or experiencing some form of disadvantage.
ERCKWA also supports and encourages the growth and development of young adult volunteers through empowering them to assist those in need in the community.
ERCWA is an incorporated association and has Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and Tax Concession Charity (TCC) tax status.
Aim of Programme
- To encourage people to look beyond all constraining life factors, prejudices and stereotypes;
- To value people being their true selves;
- To experience the power of positive personal interactions;
- To provide an environment where all individuals are given freedom of choice, and their beliefs and rights are respected;
- To empower those who are marginalized, especially children, by providing them with opportunities for personal growth within an atmosphere of fun and friendship;
- To embrace our own ERC identity within the wider national and international Edmund Rice Camps context.
