Edmund Rice Retreat and Conference Centre – Mulgoa
Programme Design/ General Description
The Centre was acquired by the Christian Brothers in 1958, and used it as their training for a number of years.
The Centre is now a venue for many different functions, including school retreats, church and parish meetings, relaxation weekends for a wide variety of groups, conferences for schools staffs, business and professional people, and wedding and special functions.
Aim of Programme
The central focus of the Centre during the week is conducting retreats for school groups not only from Christian Brothers schools but for many Catholic schools across New South Wales. The Centre also conducts retreats for adult groups.
The Oceania Province Ministries conduct their work out of the centre, such as the Edmund Rice Camps New South Wales which runs holiday programmes for young and marginalised children at the Centre.
Target Group
Schools, churches, businesses and anyone who lives and works in the western part of Sydney.
