1960 Novitiate Reunion (From Shamrock Jan 27 2010)
From Friday January 8 until Sunday 10, 16 members of the 1960 Novitiate Group re-assembled at “Mater Dei” Novitiate, Lower Plenty (now Edmund Rice Centre Amberley) to celebrate 50 years since being there together. Several came from interstate (particularly WA) and as far away as PNG.
It was a wonderful gathering, with a very significant ritual of remembering and sharing on the
Saturday evening. A visit to the cemetery at Parade College, Bundoora, was made on Saturday morning; one member of the group, Denis Edmonds, is buried there. To our knowledge, only one other of the group has died. Thanks to all those who helped with the organisation of and preparation for the gathering, particularly the main organiser, Les Hetherton.

Reunion 1962 (From Shamrock Feb 2 2010)
The 1962 novitiate group held a reunion at Amberley and Frankston from Friday 22 January to
Monday 25 January 2010. The group had held a similar reunion at Amberley in 2002 on the 40th anniversary. The recent reunion was brought forward two years mainly to include Fr Danny McMahon, who is suffering from terminal cancer. Danny presided at a memorable and touching
Eucharist, at which he ably facilitated another deeply shared reflection on our life journeys. One participant was heard to reflect on the Last Supper. A special remembrance was made for the two deceased group members, Gerald Mitchell and Pat Brown.
