Advocacy

The Edmund Rice Network has a strong commitment to Social Justice which goes well beyond helping out those in need.  This commitment includes working towards more just structures in our society, raising public consciousness of unjust practices, taking on an advocacy roll for victims of injustice and generally taking a stand against strongly held beliefs which advantage the well-to-do and disadvantage those least able to demand justice for themselves.

Much of the formal work in these areas is done through a small group of centres throughout Australia dedicated to Social Justice.
