Tuesday 1 March, 1:00 pm, Two minutes silence was observed at 12:51 pm today throughout all of NZ in remembrance of the victims claimed by the Earthquake in Canterbury exactly one week ago. The number of dead currently stands at 148 with many people still unaccounted for. There is currently a significant exodus of Christchurch residents to other parts of the country as thousands of people are unable to live in their homes, are without jobs and schools and are desperately searching for somewhere they can be safe and provided for while the reparation of basic city infrastructure is still underway.
Please keep the people of Christchurch in your prayers.
