Innovation in Inclusive Education
Callan Studies National Institute
Papua New Guinea
Callan Studies National Institute is the tertiary education arm of Callan Services National Unit – a resource agency for the work of education and healthcare for people with disabilities. Callan Services National Unit is a work of the Congregation of Christian Brothers Oceania Province.
Callan Studies National Institute (CSNI), a formally recognized Institute of Higher Learning, in partnership with the National Department of Education and the Teaching Services Commission, is calling for expressions of interest in two positions.
The CSNI is entering a new and exciting phase of its history and is seeking educators with energy, creativity and a sense of adventure. The positions to be filled will provide an opportunity through the education of pre-service and in-service teachers, to contribute to achieving Universal Basic Education in Papua New Guinea.
The CSNI is seeking people with leadership capabilities, not necessarily only those with post-graduate qualification in special or inclusive education even though this is desirable.
Expressions of Interest are sought for the two positions named below for 2011. The Expression of Interest is to be accompanied by a Curriculum Vita with the names and contact details of at least three referees (please check that the contact details are accurate and that the referee is available to be contacted in the week December 20 - 24, 2010).
Ideally the preferred appointees will be available to take up the positions at the start of the 2011 academic year. However, starting times will be negotiated with the appointee at the time of the offer of the position.
These positions are located in Wewak, Papua New Guinea.
