Edmund Rice Oceania Province
The Oceania Province of the Christian Brothers commenced on October 1 2007 and comprises the four former provinces of the order in Australia; the former New Zealand province; and the regions of Papua New Guinea and the Philippines. It also covers East Timor.
The Oceania Mission Statement draws its life and vision from the charism of Edmund Rice and the Mission of the Congregation.
Faithful to the call of Jesus
and inspired by Edmund Rice,
we, living in solidarity with the whole earth community,
and walking with those whom society has marginalised,
particularly young people,
proclaim liberation and justice for all.
Oceania Leadership Team
Like the Brothers and the members of the Edmund Rice Network who gathered in Munnar, India for the Congregation Chapter in 2008, the Oceania Leadership Team (OLT) believes the youthful Oceania Province is a dynamic body which "the Spirit enters to unsettle us, to encourage us to leap into the Mystery of God."
