Seven Christian Brothers gathered at The Archer Mountain Community on Sunday 25th September to settle in for our ‘community transformative experience’. We were led to our accommodation which includes spaces with names like Julian, Merton, MacKillop, the Glasshouse and the Guest House and finally to our first delightful meal together.
This first week has been one of orientation, beginning on Monday in the Potter’s House with the song ‘All Are Welcome’ and an introduction to the theme of ‘journey and landscape’ with its challenge to engage with all its aspects both inner and outer.
Stepping Stones of the Week
“You’ve been walking in circles searching.
Don’t drink by the water’s edge. Throw yourself in.
Become the water. Only then will your thirst end”
As we started this second week with a full complement of participants, the above words from the end of the first week were still with us all. At this second week unfolded, we were aware that the first third of this TAO experience was being completed, and that it was not time for sitting on the sidelines.
