The Mission Directorate exists to interpret and enact the Congregation’s continuing participation in Mission. Through Formation, networking and Ministry support and animation it aims to align and connect the diversity of Province works that enable the Charism of Edmund Rice to find appropriate contemporary expression.
The Operational Delegations of the Mission Directorate are:
• Research and Development,
• Policy and Protocols,
• Developing Nations,
• Ministry Resource Management,
• Relationship with Church and Community,
• Development of New Ministries,
• Nurturing the Edmund Rice Network,
• Formation and Professional Development and
• Governance of Province Owned and Operated Ministries.
The Executive Leadership Group is led by the Director of Mission and includes the Assistant Director, Regional Coordinators and Province Coordinators.
They work collaboratively to advance policy, strategy, resourcing, research and development and general pastoral administration.
Led by Regional and Province Coordinators, multi-disciplinary Mission Teams deliver:
• Networking and
• Ministry Support and Animation
within established geographical areas and as needed across the Province.
Formation plays an integral role in developing and sustaining individuals, communities and entities to participate in Mission.
This Mission is lived:
Its emphasis is on solidarity and service with those at the margins of society and those made materially poor.
Networking entails the development, implementation and review of processes and practices which support the Network.
The Network is made up of:
all inspired by Edmund's vision and the Gospel challenge.
It is a web of connections, open to the Spirit, and inclusive of all who accept the charism or operate in ways authentic to it.
The Province advocates, supports, and partners with others in the operation of a diverse range of Ministries.
